Grooming Policy

We operate a fairly relaxed salon here at Sirius Grooming, but we do have a few reasonable policies we have to insist on to keep things ticking along. Please have a read of the following, and bear them in mind when you bring your pet to a treatment.


Please make sure you are on time for your appointment. We operate on very tight appointment times, and we only allow one client’s pets in at a time. Dogs arriving late may have to be rebooked and a cancellation fee may apply.


Please be on time to collect your pet, particularly if you are the last appointment of the day. Any un-collected pets may be charged a sitting fee.


We require 24hrs notice for cancellation of appointments. We reserve a set amount of time to groom your dog and a missed appointment means someone else has lost the opportunity to have their pet groomed in your time slot. In some circumstances you may incur a cancellation fee which will be payable before any further appointments can be made.


Normal grooming charges do not include de-matting of a heavily matted dog and there will be an additional charge for this service, where applicable. You will usually be advised of this during the pre-groom consultation but may be contacted mid-groom if the matting is not discovered until later.


Please make sure your dog is wearing a correctly fitted collar and lead to avoid the risk of flight or accident.


Payment must be made on collection of your dog by cash only. We can accept payment via Paypal, however this will incur a 5% charge for payment processing if Friends & Family paymentsd are not agreed beforehand. Our estimates are based on an average dog of the breed or type, but owners must remember that some dogs will require extensive extra work or handling and this will be reflected in the final price payable.


Occasionally we photograph our work and use pictures for advertising/promotion purposes. The photographs and their content remain the property of Sirius Grooming, however if you would like a copy of any images of your pet then please ask and we will be more than happy to email you a copy. If you would rather your pet was not photographed then just let us know.
