Yesterday I attended a Canine Designs Massage Therapy course. It was a great day with some fellow groomers, all eager to learn some new techniques to help our canine clients.
There are lots of health benefits to canine massage. For a start it’s relaxing, but more than that it can help with things like rehabilitation following injury or soothing ongoing pain in older dogs caused by orthopaedic issues like Arthritis.

I took my dog, Holly The West Highland Terrier, and we spent the whole day together rubbing and massaging her all over. We both had a great time, although I think she enjoyed it slightly more than me!
While massage therapy is not a service Sirius Grooming will offer just yet, the course did offer some useful tips and techniques for making a dog feel more relaxed during a groom.
